Salomon Garden
A garden at eight metres, a drop-off just behind
Town : Les Anses d'Arlet
Salomon Garden is one of the sites we take most people to. That is no accident, it is the kind of place that suits everyone.
A garden, then a step down
The site opens with a small coral garden around eight metres, very pretty and rich in colour. Then the bottom breaks away into a drop-off falling to about twenty metres.
That layout is what makes it so easy to share: a beginner stays on the garden and already sees everything, while an experienced diver goes down along the drop-off. Nobody waits, nobody gets bored.
What level you need here
| Your level | What you can do here |
|---|---|
| Level 1 | The garden and the top of the drop-off, plenty to see |
| Level 2 and above | The drop-off down to its foot, around 20 m |
What you will meet
- Large shoals of porgies.
- Bigeye trevally.
- Sometimes leopard rays, and those you do not forget.
- All the small colourful life of the garden.
The leopard ray, when it shows
It cannot be ordered. Some trips pass without a single one, others meet two. That uncertainty is part of why people come back: Salomon Garden is never quite the same site twice.
